****Mapped out by: Turtle of Turtle Works Inc. (simcyberworld.com)**** WARNING!!!! If you do NOT get a "DONE!!!" box after you compile save your previous cam.def and do NOT load the new files. They will be corrupted. 2.4billion is the limit for values BASED OFF SEARS99 NOTE: a. ALL values relative to S/F line. LEGEND: * Meens variables will dictate various outcomes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SCR FILE: Camera's: 2 - Meens you only have cam1 and cam2. TV 1 Positions: 12 - Self explanatory. TV 2 Positions: 16 - Self explanatory. Camera 1 - It's the SCR values for that camera. Value: 6 - Determines infield or outfield postion for cam. a. 6=Infield shot. b. 7=Outfield shot. Value: 0 - A sequential number that will count the number of infield or outfield cams. a. Value 2 will reset to 0 when value 1 switches from a 6 or a 7. Begin: 61500000 - Explains the point at which the camera will start to view the car. a. This MUST be the END point from the camera before. b. Starting point range for panning cams. c. Lower the number the sooner the camera will turn on. d. This value mustn't be larger then the END value. End: 2000000 - Explains how long the camera will stay on the car after it passes by. a. This MUST be the BEGIN point for the next camera. b. Ending point range for panning cams. c. Lower the number the sooner the camera will turn off. d. This value mustn't be lower then the BEGIN value. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CAMERAS: VALUE 1: Same as VALUE8. a. Controls Zoom2 range. VALUE 2: Controls position. a. Cams panning is locked within a range and this value moves cam from one end to the other in that range. VALUE 3: Moves Cam position in opposite direction as value2. a. Moves across track.(infield-outfield) *b. Positive number is infield. *c. Cam will move foward lower the number. VALUE 4: Increasing this number will raise the actual camera. VALUE 5: Zoom2 - Zoom in/out speed. a. High positive numbers will produce fast zoom pull back. VALUE 6: Zoom1 - Zoom control for cars approaching camera. a. Higher the number the less zoom.(wider shot) VALUE 7: Zoom2 - Zoom control for cars moving away from the camera. a. Higher the number the less zoom you'll have.(wider shot) VALUE 8: Wide angle lens. a. Lower the number the further back the zoom. b. Controls beginning zoom range(zoom1). c. Use inconjuction with VALUE1. d. For best results set both values equal and adjust Zooms for wide/close view. e. Best to adjust this value first before VALUE1. VALUE 9: Zoom1 - Zoom in/out speed. a. High positive numbers will produce fast zoom pull back. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTIONS: (be advised that if you cannot control your camera with the "CAMERAS" value above then they are to be redirected down to the "SECTIONS" area) NOTE: Cams in this section do NOT follow the cars. They are stationary ONLY. NOTE: CAMERAS redirected to SECTIONS will only work unless changes made are made in the SECTIONS redirect of that Cam. (EX. CAMERA 25 is controlled by Section 3 - Camera 6) SECTIONS: VALUE 1: No known effects. VALUE 2: Controls foward movement. a. In order to regain direction zero out value 5. *b. Lower the number more foward it moves. VALUE 3: Rotates actual camera. *a. Lower the num more right it turns. b. By rotating camera in desired direction then you use value2 to walk it foward. c. Starts at 1 million mark. VALUE 4: Elevates Camera. VALUE 5: Rotates Camera Head. a. Rotation will start to show change at about 10 million. *b. Higher num more left it turns. VALUE 6: Has camera look up or downward from its tripod. a. 100million mark gets results best. *b. Lower the number the lower it looks. VALUE 7: No effect. VALUE 8: Wide angle zoom and or wide zoom lens. a. Zooms view way back in neg numbers. VALUE 9: No effect. VALUE 10: No effect. VALUE 11: No effect. VALUE 12: No effect. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Explanations: 1. Cams 1-12 are all Cam1 camera views while cams 13-28 are Cam2 views. Don't be foolish consult the SCR FILE Camera's: 2 TV 1 Positions: 12 TV 2 Positions: 16 This will help tell you how far down to go before it switches to CAM2. In other words TV1 you will find CAMERAS 1-12 all being for use with TV1 while TV2 has 16 cameras (13-28). 2. Any and all cameras that do NOT follow or pan the car(s) are controlled by SECTIONS. SECTIONS is as stated above, a redirect off their CAMERAS. Do not assume that after you finish with CAMERA-21 that the next cam closest to the S/F line has to be CAMERA-20. I encountered a problem where the next working cam was actually CAMERA-18. Probably what happened was that there were 2 or 3 cameras given the same values which in turn made it appear that the next cam I was looking for was CAMERA-20. Also be sure to check down to SECTIONS before assuming this. 3. If you do NOT get a "DONE!!!" box after you compile, save your previous cam.def and do NOT load the new files. They will be corrupted and thus your dat will produce a "Cannot Load Complete Track Description" error. 2.4billion is the limit for values. This is mearly a help txt that can help point out and explain. It cannot do the work for you. If you find this too complicated maybe you should take up knitting.
